Owner-led custom home building with Dale Proctor involved from the first walk of the property through the final punch walk.
The work
Each home is the set of decisions its land asked for. The card says the one that mattered most.

Dale Proctor spent twenty years at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington, finishing as Director of Facilities, then six more as Director of Construction at Show Quest Entertainment, building rides and attractions in the United States, the Netherlands and Norway. He came back to custom homes in 2005, fifteen years of them as a Fort Worth builder's Director of Construction, and started this company in 2020. He has been accountable for complicated buildings since 1979, and on your house he still is.
What that means at each stage of a build, in his words, is on the About page.

The process
Five stages, in order.
CB Homes meets with you either at your home or in our office to discuss your vision and expectations.
Dale sets a series of design meetings with the architect and the trade partners who will actually do the work. You are in those meetings, not receiving the results of them.
CB Homes conducts a final pre-construction meeting where we review all plans, selections and contracts with you to ensure we are all on the same page before construction.
CB Homes staff set weekly update meetings with you to keep you updated on progress and answer any questions.
CB Homes staff meets with you at the end of the project to ensure all work is completed to your satisfaction.

electrical-code · nec · adopted-codes
Texas adopted the 2026 National Electrical Code on 1 September 2026. The city on your lot may be on the 2017, 2020 or 2023 edition. Why the gap exists and how to check.
schools · isd-boundaries · hudson-oaks
A Hudson Oaks address is not automatically an Aledo ISD address. How to establish the district for a specific parcel, and why two published sources can disagree.
For realtors
Adopted building codes, permits, impact fees, septic and wells, floodplain, ETJ and school districts, and how to verify a builder, a trade or a contract. Every entry links to its source and shows the date it was last checked, so it can be used on the lot, with a client, from a phone.
All of it is open: no email, no form.
The form asks five questions about the project and the lot before it asks for your name. The first call is for fit: what the site needs, what you want, and whether we are the right builder for it. Dale reads every inquiry and answers within one business day.
